Old family painting

Family history is very important to me.  The maternal side of my family came to America in the early 1600's.  Three hundred years later, Grandma went and married a foreigner.  A wonderful man from Sweden, Bert Anderson.  When he left, his mother gave him a painting of his farmhouse so he wouldn't forget home.  It was painted in the 1800's.  It came through Ellis Island with him.  I have slept in the upper right bedroom.  The family has been living on their land for over 250 years.  The painting will be passed on to my son, Brandon, and then to my grandson Shawn.

  1. Hi Laurie!

Saw your blog link on Francie Skoflanc's blog. What a sweet story and to have this painting is such a treasure.

I love your work - as always!
